At First
Signal, we offer a wide variety of services to fit your sound
and security needs. We have been and are still currently involved
in various healthcare, commercial and government projects. We
currently are involved with a number of systems which we designed,
installed and supported.
Most of these
systems have proven very valuable in the field and are definitely
beneficial in saving lives.
We
provide sound and security systems that will meet your facility
needs, we will discuss all of the options for your facility
and give you the most cost-effective solutions to suit your
needs.
These systems are designed with National Fire, Building, Electrical
and Safety codes being the primary consideration.
Nurse Call Systems
Nurse
Call Systems are very flexible and allow
the facility to design a system to meet their unique
needs, selecting only the components necessary.
Typically, a standard PC is used by the staff members
to enter and keep track of patients and their conditions.
It can also be used to signal an emergency, patient
checks and many other situations. |

|
Access Control Systems
Access
Control Systems prevent unauthorized persons
access to specific areas of a building or the complete
building, while allowing the entry of authorized
persons.
Access Control equipment may include card readers,
security code keypads, biometric readers, and standard
door locks. |

Infant Abduction and Patient Wandering
Systems
Infant
Abduction and Patient Wandering Systems
are another system that First Signal has installed
and supported. Both of these systems work by having
the patient wear a transmitter. When the patient
passes through a door, an alarm will sound or a
door will lock to prevent the patient from leaving
the building.
Typically, a door or entrance is covered with an
electromagnetic field and if the transmitter passes
the field the alarm will sound. Each building is
different and these systems are designed to use
the facility layout for optimum security. Both of
these systems can be interfaced with most nurse
call systems.

Wireless Telephone Systems
An
in-building Wireless Communications
System is a unique digital telephone system
that can be connected to your existing business
communications network.
The wireless telephone system delivers communications
to mobile employees within the working environment,
allowing employees to make and receive calls as
if they were using their desk phone, which increases
staff productivity and communication.
The system provides transparent service access for
thousands of users.

Fire Alarm Systems
Fire
Alarm Systems have a variety of options and
choices for a facility, such as the standard manual
pull stations, smoke detectors or smart detectors,
which can detect a smoldering fire. In intelligent
addressable systems, the central unit can display
where the alarm originated. With a PC interface,
it can display a graphical map on the screen.
The alarm itself can be indicated by a horn, chime,
bell, an EVAC announcement or even a stand-alone
strobe device. A combination of devices is selected
to meet the NFPA, ADA and Life Safety requirements.

Intercom Systems
Intercom
Systems are generally used for room to room
voice communication and can be used in a hospital,
school or office setting.
These systems can be designed around the facility
to meet its communication needs. There are several
options that allow the facility to modify the design
to fit its needs. |

Paging Systems
Overhead
Paging
Overhead Paging Systems are commonly used in businesses,
schools and hospitals to page an individual or a
group of individuals when their location is unknown,
but they are within the building or campus. |
Radio
Paging
Radio Paging Systems are used to page an individual
or wide range of individuals through pagers/beepers
when they are within the building or campus. |
|
|
CCTV Systems
CCTV/Security
Systems are essentially video camera systems
that are used to monitor rooms, traffic through
a specific area of a building, or monitor a campus
environment.
These systems are designed to maximize the buildings
security features to prevent crime and/or accidents.

Television and VCR
First
Signal installs and sells Television,
DVD, and VCR sets. These systems are typically
used by schools and hospitals.
They are installed with security and ease of use
being the top considerations. |
|
|
MATV Television Systems
MATV
Television Systems are currently being used
by schools and hospitals. First Signal has installed
and designed many MATV systems for our customers.
The MATV system is essentially connecting the various
hospital and school televisions to a cable hookup
or a direct video feed. The systems are designed
to minimize the signal loss as the signal travels
through a facility. |
|
|
Infrared Detection Systems
| Infrared
Detection Systems include
a network of sensors that will detect the location
of staff members and/or equipment throughout a facility.

Light Signaling Systems
Light
Signaling Systems
are systems that use light panels to identify room
status, signify an incoming message, or work that
needs to be done by order of importance.
In a hospital or doctors office, the most serious
cases are handled first and the light systems allow
that information to be coded into the signal panels
(red for serious cases, green for less serious cases,
blue for code blue or an emergency, etc.). |
